The chapter on bacteriological observations should prove valual)le to anyone who has searched a slide for the tubercle bacillus. Although the clinician may be irked by the minutia of pathological detail, it should be noted that succinct case histories accompany each of the specimens. Unfortunately, the corresponding X-rays are at a minimum. The printing is excellent and the color photomicrographs are superb.
